Flash: Dynamic Text

In this animation I learned how to use dynamic text. Dynamic text is different from regular text because it can change words and stuff like that. I created this aimation by making the three circles of color as buttons which controlled the "Look, I am dynamic" text. This is a really cool feature because I can make the dynamic text change into any other words or phrases that I would want. So if you click on one of the colors, the dynamic text will change.

Flash: Controlling Movie Clips

In this animation I learned how to control movie clips. This mean that I can control when something happens. For instance, I can control when the eyes change, or the nose or the mouth or the hair or the head. This I was able to do by adding an "onion skin" to each of the movie clips(nose, mouth, etc.) and adding stop actions along with release actions. Then I created buttons that referenced to the movie clips. So if you click on any of the features on the left, the movie clips on the right will change.  This took me a long time to do, but it is really helpful when you do this with anything. It an go a long way with these effects.

Flash: Start Menu 2

In this animation, I did the same thing as the one before, except I added more complicated animations. So by clicking one of the words above you can make the character do something.

Flash: Start Menu

In this animation I created a interactive menu. If you click on one of the labels an animation will appear on the right. It is really handy to have this, because then you can place anything in the animation and the only way you will be able to see it is if you click on one of the options. It's a really cool feature. I was able to do this by creating a stop on each of the object tweens and then added Actions to the buttons(labels).

Flash: Start Button

In this animation I learned how to create a start button. I was able to do this by using Action Script 2.0 on flash and using the Actions tool. Then I added a start action onto a button that I made using the rectangle tool. The rest of the animation was made by me using things that I have learned before, all added together. I really like having the start button because it makes the animation look more professional and so that you can actually watch it when you want, not just having it continuously run.

Flash: Name Explosion

In this animation I first used the Text tool to write my name, then I added drop shadow as an effect. Next, I separated each individual letter and distributed them to layers. Then I added a classic tween to each letter and added spin to them to make them look like they were flying away from an explosion. To add the final touch I made an explosion symbol by using he polystar tool.
