Flash: Kirby Animation
In this animation I mainly used the Classic Tween in order to create the character's motions. I had to first make the character and convert every characteristic of the character into a symbol. For example, the I would make a the eye and convert it to a symbol naming it 'left eye'. Then I would make its pupil and convert it to a symbol naming that 'left pupil'. I learned that by making these all symbols, it was so much easier to animate and edit. I could select the whole character and resize everything at the same time. That alone would take about 5 min if I had resize every individual drawing on the character, yet by doing this it only took a few seconds. Also, this enabled me to easily edit each characteristic easily without messing up the rest of my animation. All I needed to do was double click on the symbol and edit it on its own. I really enjoyed creating this animation.

Flash: Growing Ball
In this stilled photo I created a ball that would grow in size, and then shrink back to its normal size repeatedly. I created it by using a Classic Tween on my symbol. Then I adjusted its properties so that it would have ease as it grew and as it shrunk. Also, I placed a shadow below the ball that grew and would shrink based on the ball's size. Just to add color, I added a background to the ball by using the rectangle tool and placing its layer behind the ball's and the shadow's.

Flash: Bouncing Ball
In this Flash file I had created a motion picture of a ball bouncing up and down. I created that by using the shape tool to create a ball, converted to a symbol, and then I used the timeline to make the ball move. In between my Key frames I placed a Classic Tween in which my symbol would move accordingly to where I placed it on each individual frames. I adjusted the properties of the Tween and then added ease when the ball would go up, then subtracting ease as it went down in order to create the look of gravity. I also added a shadow below the ball and used a radial gradient with a lowered alpha in order to make it more life-like. The shadow also decreases in size as the ball rises and increases as the ball gets closer to the ground.Thursday, September 16, 2010
Flash: Mountain Scene
In this image I used a lot of different tools. Even though this is a stilled photo, on Flash it is a moving picture. I created many different layers that each did something different. Each object had a Shape Tween on it and so it moved/morphed to my desire. The clouds moved to cover the sun, the birds dissapeared into the horizon, the sun set and the sky turned dark, and also the gradient that I placed on the snow-capped mountains moves too. I used a bunch of gradients on this picture, linear and radial. I also changed the alpha on the clouds so that they could appear a little bit transparent.

Flash: Tree
In this image I created a tree using the polystar tool. I learned how to make different polygons with a different number of sides. Then I put them all together to create a christmas tree with ornaments on it. I also added some gradient to a few stars.
Flash: Gradient
Making this image I learned how to use the Gradient tool on Flash. I was able to create a 3-D looking object just by making an circle and adding a gradient to it. Also, I used the rectangle and line tool to create 3-D boxes too.
Flash: City Car
In this image I created many objects using the rectangle tool. I learned how to resize these objects and also how to move them around in my image. But it was hard for me to make a car facing me, so it looks pretty bad.
